“I am not what happened to me. I am what I chose to become” Carl Gustav Jung

Imagine walking on a desert road. All you can see for miles is hot, dry sand. The sun is piercing. Sweat is pouring down your body. Your rucksack full of your history and experiences weighs heavily down on your body – even digging in to your sides so you feel the pain. You are alone. You have run out of water. It feels like there is no way out – no light at the end of the tunnel.

Now imagine if YOU could choose your landscape. YOU could choose which path you wanted to take. And you could choose what items to carry in your rucksack. Where are you now? What do you look like and how do you feel?

Therapy is not a magic wand.

Therapy has, however, been shown to reduce anxiety and build resilience, offering support and empowerment at the same time.

I am an Integrative Therapist which means I see each client as individual and unique, each with their own set of histories, life experiences and journeys. I offer a safe, confidential space where together we can explore issue/s, and work collaboratively towards the identified goal. I offer warmth, empathy and a non-judgemental approach, but may also at times offer gentle challenge. I work creatively and integrate elements of different therapeutic approaches.

I am a Registered member with the BACP and have worked with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, anger issues, family dynamics, relationship issues, separation/ divorce, life changes/ transitions, cultural issues, panic attacks, low self-esteem, self-confidence, young people, stress, trauma, sexual abuse, suicidal thoughts and self-harm.

Therapy is a journey and one we embark on together. As your therapist I am not the expert but your co-pilot.

“Life will always challenge you. It’s how you decide to face those challenges and what you then do that counts. All the strength you need comes only from within”
